Metal, clay, volcanic sand, mesh net, vibrating motors

Passive Data Not Assimilated explores notions of time, deconstruction through the grid and natural phenomena. Bringing the trickle of rain indoors through a mesh net holding sand, the subtle sounds of sand grains falling into each other attempt to induce a mode of microscopic listening. Placed next to a piece of wedged clay, through which a hefty metal grid has been left to push through for 3 days, there is a contrast between the seemingly static and the subtly mobile. Through sensitisation, a hint of a feeling is conjured, a feeling that everything is moving, in the most indiscernible ways.
